I am not so bothered about a scan doubler but more wanting one which i can plug the amiga 1200 straight into, i live in japan so i am hoping there might be some lcd tvs or something which would work but then what cable should i use for plugging it into the lcd tv?

Thanks for the info, I will see if I can find the LG monitors in Akihabara then, at least if i can get the Amiga going with some kind of signal I will be happy :)

If you like hacks, there is a very good one in Aminet to make a S-VHS video out in the A600/1200 computers.

 Oh, yeah: the obligatory link:rtfm:

cheers for that, looks like a good project - never done anything like that before so i hope i won`t blow up the miggy.  is there also a way to get a s-video signal from the rgb port via a cable or something ... or am i just talking nonsense ?

Hmmm to be honest I had no clue how the build the external S-Video port so I think as my technical knowledge is laughably small I will just stick with a VGA converter and plug it into an LCD Vga monitor and a small tv for the games :)  Easiest solution for me at the moment.
