It's not that difficult a mod to do - in fact, there was even a guy on eBay a while back who sold all the parts you needed in one package to do it. I did it myself and it works great - though it's not as neat as that job! The main thing is a splitter cable for the IDE port and an adaptor from the laptop-style CD-ROM connector to IDE, such as
this one.
