Good lord..  I cannot freek'n believe what I am reading.  This MUST be the work of a troll.  I would have given you $1500 for that system today.  The CSPPC alone is worth $750.  No one, and I do mean NO ONE, is that stupid to simply throw something like this away.

Yup, I agree... And if I'd known about it I'd have driven straight over to Manchester for it (I'm in Ireland) and given you your £1,000 this weekend. I think it's a very strange thing to do to be honest, selfish, irrational and bitter. It makes no financial sense and hasn't proven any point to anyone, least of all the people you're disillusioned with. I understand dumping PC hardware (hell, I've done it, what's the going rate for a Pentium 1 class machine these days?), but being a classic Amiga which will never be replaced it's just like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

*ahem* sorry, feeling a little shocked here :-( Anyway, back OT... I have quite a small collection of lesser Amigas really:

1x A1200 DIY towered in an old AT PC tower, pretty much maxed out apart from PPC... 060/66, 192MB RAM, 80 & 40GB HDDs with SCSI-IDE adaptors, SCSI cd-rom, SCSI cd burner, Zip250, Catweasel, Mediator with SB128, Voodoo 3-3000, TV Tuner and 10/100 NIC, clock port splitter, Hypercom 3+, 2x 3.5" and 1x 5.25" floppies, LCD status screen on the front, SD/FF, OS3.9...

1x A1200 desktop which died and was cannibalised for parts so doesn't really count

1x A1200 in a CD player Hi-Fi case, 030/50, 32MB, 40GB, CD-ROM, MAS-Player, LCD text display, IR remote, Wifi... The MP3 playing machine!

1x A1200 desktop with 030/50, 32MB, 30GB 2.5" HDD, internal CD-Rom, absolutely mint case, the retro gaming machine which travels with me.

1x A600, 1.4GB HDD, built into a custom case hidden in a drawer, LCD text display, +1MB chip RAM, IR remote, lots of DIY hardware and software for controlling all sorts of things, like the stereo, lights, lamp, etc. in my old room. Also made a fantastic, extremely flexible alarm clock :-D

Aaaannnd... That's it!
