WinUAE, no more than 1 floppy image, and "NDOS".
« on: November 29, 2008, 07:54:40 AM »
Hi all,

Problem #1:

I managed to get everything working fine, but now for some odd reason I can only work 1 ADF image in WinUAE, instead of 4 "emulated" drives. It's difficult when trying to install software, so I'm short a few games for now. Have tried uninstalling, and installing again, tried downgrading, etc.

Problem #2:

Also another matter, when I tried to install some games on the HDD of my A600, and also in WinUAE (tried both) the disk says "DF0:NDOS" instead of the name, and it won't load. I don't know if it's a Workbench issue, as I only have Cloanto 2006 Workbench 2.10 image copied to Amiga HDD, and I don't have the proper "full install" set. The disks will run fine if inserted into first drive/emulated drive, but I want to install these.

Sorry for being such a newbie, I'm still getting used to my Amiga!

@Mozzerfan, yes the floppy drives were ticked.

It's funny, I tried to install "Strip Poker 3" onto the hard drive, and after that, WinUAE hasn't been normal. I tried recopying the Workbench disks from Amiga Forever CD, (as SP3 was saying "Workbench is write protected") so I unticked the write protect, and after a no-go HDD install, nothing has been the same.

I guess it just goes to say, pr0n aint worth it.

Thank you Mozzerfan, I unistalled WinUAE, and Amiga Forever, reinstalled both, now working!  8-)

But what happened here, did the *ahem* "game" bring down a Windows program somehow?

Would it be tempting fate again if I tried to copy the ADF's from the game to Floppies via Amiga Explorer, and trying to install on A600?

Maybe I should forget about it, lol, I just am used to bad pic shots on a C64 (I used to own one) and was surprised at the cool pics when I ran it on WinUAE.

*Bad Circlip, BAD Circlip!!*

You got a good point there, I'll leave these sorts of games alone then.

Just another question people,

Would WHDLoad work on a stock A600 with HDD? It would be nice to be able to get some "uninstallable" games on there. I love my A600 now!!!
