I am sure you all know but with the Core Ported to the Altera DE1 (150 USD) there is less need build your own FPGA board.
A small adapter will be needed for the joystick ports and a couple of components added to allow a mouse to be plugged in. I think if all you want to do is run the Minimig Core then the Altera DE1 looks a better option. I think actually the Altera DE1 is a better option all round but YMMV.
The DE1 will also be much better at running any large non 68000 designs as the FPGA is bigger than on Dennis's board.
As I said in the other thread I have 5 DE1's on the way to the UK from Taiwan. I have not decided yet how many of those I will sell on.
To those in the US who think I am crazy, buying things from outside the EC in the UK is a major pain with carriage, fees and VAT to pay. The carriage and fees are pretty much the same no matter how many you buy, which makes it cheaper per board the more you order.
I hope to get my Minimig DE1 running in the next week. I can report back here if people want.
