Unfortunately PC laptops haven't used IDE cables for many years. They generally just connect straight to a 2.5" IDE connector built on the motherboard, or use a proprietary ribbon cable like the older Apple laptops.
Although, the Clamshell iBook used a cable that looks like it should be suitable - there's one I just found on eBay (
here)
I think to get one you would have to use eBay, or a retailer like Amigakit.
