A CPU-modules demonstration from ACK Controls was just canceled for the second time. See here:

Wow.  I'm sure that came as a complete shock to everyone.

C'mon does anyone really believe this carp anymore?

A Pegasos runs MorphOS or Linux (or MacOSX, but not legally) but not AOS4 (like MacOSX it's a legal problem rather than a physical one)

If you're including MacOSX in the list, with the 'not legally' qualifier, then you should include 'Amiga OS4' in there, with the same qualifier.  The Peg also runs Amiga OS3.9 (under emulation), Aros PPC, QNX, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenSolaris, and probably a few more I forgot.

any chance that amithlon gets resurrected?

I think that is very unlikely - the parties involved are not on the best of terms (to put it mildly).

isnt the so called "new" amiga hardware outdated? No! Read this: someone is rich if what he has is enough.the new amiga os 4 mainboards are good enough with what they have on them. they do not need so called newer or "better" parts.

boards on sale soon:

You forgot the SharkPPC.   That one's been 'coming soon' for 6 years now and counting.

boards on sale now:

amigaone: http://www.eyetech.co.uk/search.php?SearchStr=&SearchCat=AMA1 $550

$550?  The cheapest board on that page is over $975.  Anyway that page is out of date by almost a year.  There are no AmigaOnes to buy.   Didn't you see 'Last modified: 29-07-2005'

java for amiga:

The last update on the H&P Java page was from 7 years ago, and the other site you list from 6 years ago.  And Jamiga (the only one with any relatively recent work on it) is a very very early alpha which doesn't run anything and in it's current form is useless.
(Edit.  I don't mean that the JAmiga project is useless, it's a very worthwhile and much-needed project, I just mean that it isn't much use for running Java applications at the moment but that should improve as it becomes more complete)

that are complete systems. the boards only is ca 550 (well, one ist 528 and the other 587 ).

No.  Those are UK£ prices.  The cheapest motherboard (£528) is over $975 USD (or around $1100 CAD).  But those are just the prices they used to be when they were available, which they no longer are.

what about a pegasos 3 or an amigaone successor?

The Pegasos 3 will be Genesi's new dual CPU / Quad-core G5 machine.  There will also be an upgrade scheme for current Pegasos II owners (trade in your PegII board for a big discount).

There isn't any new AmigaOne on the horizon.  If there was then it would have to come from Eyetech, as they own the AmigaOne trademark.  The problem is that Mai no longer design hardware, and the only other company currently making desktop PPC hardware (apart from Apple) is Genesi.

In an ideal world :-)  OS4 would fly on a quad-core G5 machine.

apple went intel.. i do not expect more ppc hardware from them.

Yes, Apple will keep selling the G5-based Powermacs (and XServe's) until August when they switch them to the new Intel Core 2 Duo, leaving PPC behind completely.
