by the way there is fresh updated version of amiblitz3 (succesor of blitz basic 2) maintained by some german devs on this site:
http://amiblitz3.amiforce.de/u can download it for free.
unfortunatelly the site is all in german:-(, (otherwise it would maybe cought some more attention already)
there is also dedicated forum on
http://www.amiforce.de/main.phpu can sure count on help from the devs themselves if you speak up there. but ab3 comes already with nice bunch of docs, examples and includes itself.
