as already stated eflash doesnt seem to support patching amiga roms which is just too bad, cause i cant see what other it would be good for. myself i just want to have powerwindows_ng  enabled on my computers, since this version seems much more dependable, but blizkick somehow doesnt like mediator and previously patched roms on eflash and gets usually in what seems an endless boot-loop with that. the other general problem with blizkick is that warm reset becomes a matter of luck. mostly i have to power down completely after some system-failure.

well: long story short: i mailed elbox eabout the matter and they seem to try to figure somthing out, but i do not count on that very much. i myself will look into matter how to patch roms in place and maybe burn them on flash-chips as this seems most appropriate.

there seems to be another hardware similar to eflash from individual computers. i dont know if this contains options missed in the elbox product, but im gonna ask them.

thats exactly what i would advise too. modern ide dvd-writers connencted on acard adapter are by all means superior to any old scsi drives. i hold such in both of my 060a4ks and had never again any problems with writing a cd or whatsoever, which before on native yamaha or hp scsi drive was quite an issue to master..

@platon42:
by the way, if im going to get something from e3b in the near future it will sure be deneb. as you are part of the project, the question i would have is: will its flashrom be able to hold the modified kickstart available at a cold boot too?

platon42: thank you. this might be the solution then, since i got the csmk1'S. the only thing i mistrust a little is mirroring and holding the updated rom in the memory since it seems to cause problems with warm-resets, so maybe i would still have to look @ some replacement that fits in the kickstart socket as alternative
