WTB Zip ram
« on: July 22, 2009, 02:18:04 PM »
Finally got everything working on my A3000 then i notice i lost 3MB of ram then another 5MB. Guess its time to buy some new Zip ram chips, does anyone have 16MB worth? shipping to Sydney Australia.
Also i noticed underneath the Zip ram slots there are 8 Chip slots what are they for are they another type of ram i can put in and if so what part/model number are they?
And will it be better to get that type instead of the Zips

Thanks in Advance

Yeah i read that too 4MB in DIP and 12MB in ZIP.
But doesn't say part numbers will check my MB since i has 2MB CHIP ram but i have sent an email to software hut asking for prices for 16MB ZIP (dam my stupid zip chips i could be working on my A4000 by now) .
OH well the joys of owning an Amiga (i wish Clone-A, Natami or replay would be finished already)!

well i will be ordering a convertor from DJ just waiting on finally price of fastest shipping. I have heaps of 72 pin ram lieing around including EDO stuff. and as for the speed decrease i wouldnt think it will be that much speed difference.
