fragmented graphics on my amiga
« on: December 07, 2007, 07:20:17 PM »
Hello,
I have been noticing that every other time I use my amiga (and I believe only after a half hour or so) I start to get some garbled graphics.  For instance the icons on workbench look like they have had lines erased from them in both directions.  I am using a Picasso IV workbench so at first I thought the problem must lie somewhere in that department, BUT.... I have seen the same effect when running Deluxe galaga which only plays through the native video out of my a3000 and does not pass through the picasso at all.
Does anyone have any advice on what this could be and how to fix it?
My system is:
A3000 warped 3040
32 megs of fast ram 2 megs chip
Mediator with
Ethernet, Voodoo, AD516, PAR, Picasso IV
scsi HD off the warp controller
OS 3.9
The whole thing is in the elbox mirage 3000d tower conversion.

Thanks for any help,
Dan

I thought of that, does anyone have experience with Elbox's tower systems?  Do they need more than the fan in PSU?
Thanks,
Dan

Every A3000 I ever had did this at some point

usually or always? through its VGA out port.  Perhaps you need to adjust the screw near the VGA port?

Not always... only sometimes.
The thing is, it is happening through the picasso, and through the native amiga output.
What could this be?
