Personally I've not tried QEMU in a long time, tend to stick to VirtualBox, recommend you try using that instead, let me know if you get stuck:

Yes, but by the sounds of it espskog wants to use a VM as a tool to install AROS to a USB flash drive. Perhaps he wants to boot it natively on a netbook?
