Emulation is always going to be cheaper than specialised hardware, especially considering the difference in power of new PCs and old Amigas.

What you've got to ask yourself is why isn't emulation enough for everybody? Some complain that it doesn't feel the same, but I would say the main issue is that its a dead end. Minimig, despite its current limitations, has definite room for growth.

I like the EeePC too, just don't try and justify it as an Amiga purchase.
