well its good to see Dammy hasn't missed a beat, in advertising before the product is ready.

I no longer wonder if people will ever learn.

anyway, nice to have some more vapor to discuss.
at least it shouldn't be too hard to slap together a pc and sell it.

@redrumloa

Is there any harm in putting the cart before the horse?

I think the enthusiasm is misplaced and demonstrates a clear lack of priorities and the type of business sense that is required to be a success.

As for being productive....I am.   My latest business plan is about 100 pages long, and was proofread by phd in american literature and will be audited by an accountant before I show it to anyone.

am I saying this to make myself look good?  hardly, I complete about 20% of the projects I start, at best.  This project may go nowhere.

I can hardly criticize someone for trying and failing...we learn from mistakes, and I've made many myself, including many business failures, including announcing things too soon.

But what I've learned...is people who spend a lot of time making graphics and announcements are dreamers, and not people who are going to make a business work.

I am not, going to suggest this latest business isn't going to work...hardly.  I happen to like AROS.  I happen to think the community members putting all this together are nice folks, who I enjoy hearing from.
I have no idea whether they are trying to create a buzz, and do, in fact, already have products about ready to launch.

But I suspect not.  My guess would be...they are excited about something new, they have no real plan, and products aren't even close to being tangible yet.

I'll be glad to be wrong.  I call'm like I see them.  If this is dragging everyone down, then I'll leave.  I'm not here to disturb people...in actuality, my comments are meant to be helpful.
