Because I write iOS and Android apps, I have an iPad 1, 4th generation iPod touch, original iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S II, an Acer Tablet - and my wife has a Nokia Lumia 710.

For some odd reason the Nokia Lumia 710 hangs up on people if you accidentally touch it to your cheek - so that right there, makes it annoying.  Something like that, is hard to overcome, despite what might be good about it.

I thought the OS is OK.  WinPhone's today - are all single core.  I buy my phones off contract.  But when I was on contract, I was really careful to get something that I'd be happy with for two years.  No way, would I buy a single core phone, when everyone else has gone dual core.  You can say, the OS runs fairly snappy on the single core, and thats true, but, look dual core support in WinPhone is around the corner, I'd not buy a single core phone today.

Plus a lot of your favorite apps will be missing, if I was a consumer of smartphones, I wouldn't get it, except I guess, I did buy it, heheh, well, my wife doesn't care about apps - we thought this phone might work, but actually she isn't happy with it.
