OS4 will never see the light of day on a PowerUP board
« on: September 19, 2003, 04:40:19 PM »
Folks, I've been watching this community for many years and eventually you begin to notice a pattern or two.

First something is delayed, then its downplayed whether the announcement ever occurred even, and then the project is cancelled.

Call me a troll, say I'm wrong.....lets take down names and save posts for later recollection.

But OS 4 will never see the light of day on the PowerUP boards.

Once the priority shifted, when will the priority ever shift back?  Never....of course not, the powerup boards are ancient.

It will just be easier to cancel it later after the excitement of OS 4's release for the AmigaONE, then it is just to admit it now.

OK, Hyperion, jump in and call me a liar.

Cause, I will save the post, and remember it, and post it back to you a year from now when you cancel the project.

@HyperionMP,

there isn't much to say, except time will tell.
even after reading your post, my opinion hasn't changed...

Temporary changes become permanent....happens all the time.   Just as you have some super secret announcement to make in a few days, about some deal that made it imperative to do OS 4 for AmigaONE first....there will be other deals and other priorities as time moves.

You can't see it.  I know you can't.  You are not a liar either....I know it.

What if AmigaONE is fantastically successful.  What if it is so successful that you could sell 10 million copies if only you could get 4.2 out the door, or 100 million if OS 5 was done.....I don't believe those things will happen, of course, but the point is, the time is coming to an end when OS 4 for CSPPC makes any sense at all.

The writings on the wall.

By the way, you've released the OS 4 betatesters to 'testify' about their experiences?
And, also, don't think I'm questioning all the work that was done on CSPPC and the daily binary updates...I don't question it.
