If I had to pick some words to describe the red star, 'pretty cool' wouldn't be on the list.
Отечественная война...I don't get it, I mean it seems to be an honorarium of some kind from the Soviet era grafted on top of a spanish flag....for what purpose. Although I am personally not keen at all, on glorifying the soviets, on the other hand, I am aware of the nationalist pride, and heroic efforts that were involved in fighting back the nazi's during the domestic war.
But anyway, hate to be off topic, but you started it...educate this old 'Fool'..(and I'm not so old) what this is about :-)
