1. My main home/browsing os is Windows XP SP1... my main work OS is HP/UX 11i.
2. for home, because I needed Windows XP because the tunnel software for connecting to work from home is only available for windows xp, per our company rules....and then any it was cheap as sin to put together a fairly fast pc, I have a clocked athlon xp that makes it a pr 3600+...cost about $400.
as for why I use hp/ux as my main work box...its what work uses, and it pays the bills.
3. switching...well, I have no immediate plans to switch...but I always consider switching..I'm a real fan of OS's....and alternative platforms, hence, why I'm here typing to you...but then again, I cannot stand amiga os anymore...if I feel nostalgic, just booting it up real quick reminds me that its old
