The "Braunschweig"-A2000 I offer here has outlived many Rev 6 A2000s by now, so I assume it was a single failure. The fine thing about the Rev. 4 is the battery that is placed in a box (Varta SafeTronic), so it may not damage the mainboard.

Thats what makes the Braunschweig-models somewhat rare. Most of them were replaced with the Rev 6 motherboards, so not many Rev 4 left. Its an item for the amiga-collectors.
I had never any problems with this A2000, so I cannot give any negative feedback on the BSW-models.

It seems to look quite good and at a bargain price so far. Postage is EUR12 within Germany, but I don't know how much to UK. Obviously it has Zorro expansion slots. One reason the Amiga wasn't more successful was the lack of expansion slots, which PCs were fitted with. I used to have lots of fantasies about getting an A2000, but I couldn't afford one. I noticed the description says "Allerdings ist der 2000er nicht neu" (In any case the 2000 isn't new). Which you didn't need to say, then I suddenly had a fantasy of travelling back in time and buying a few of them, which may also help save Commodore and the Amiga!

The A2000 is like the tank amongst the Amigas. It is robust, almost undestroyable and also with a very "robust" design. It was my first Amiga (back then, right after the C64) and is one of my favorite models.

BTW, I'm glad that you're offering this item to buyers outside Germany. eBay allows sellers to restrict their items for sale only to Germany, only to UK, only to France, etc. I'm fairly sure this is against EU law, as it goes against the single market. What can we do about this?

AFAIK it is not against any law. There is some effort with customs and who does not want to ship worldwide makes the decision for himself. I try to always ship worldwide if possible.

That is correct it has the 1000 chipset iirc so the least desirable a2k. Unless you are a collector of course

Definitely, but if you are a collector, this model is hard(!) to find. If I had not two of them and needed the space, I would not sell it.

At the moment it looks as if it is going for and absolute bargain-price, but thats ebay, sometimes you get the rarest items for (nearly)  free.
