The 1230 comes with 128 MB at 50 ns, which is the fastest module possible. This module alone has a certain worth.

I was able to find a ram chip like that on ebay for $8.00 usd

50 ns, slim and fits in the 1230. Then you are very lucky as I paid a fortune for mine.
Is this offer open for everyone or was it a one time lucky punch?

Does it come with the FPU?

The 68882 is not included in the offer, but if you need one, I can look for a 68882 here.

Got it on ebay last year around this time. Old server ram or something. BIG FAT chip..

Ah, those are the thick modules you have to fix to the board, because it does not fit properly, right? Those are easy to find, as they are somewhat common.
The module I have here is very slim and fits in the socket of the 1230. I never saw any other source for it (except for extreme high prices).
But that does not mean one cannot make a bargain on ebay everyday :)
