The white plastic is the crimping sheath that holds the keyboard membrane into place. With care simply try to remove it without damaging incase you wish to reuse again in the future.


Be sure to fit the interface into the slot the correct way too.

If you don't remove that plastic sheath you'll not have adequate room to successfully insert the interface.

I've taken a photo of my a600 motherboard which utilises the same connector as the a1200.
