I couldn't remember the name of it for the longest time but FINALLY tracked it down! It was a Quick Shot joystick and at the time I thought it was the coolest thing to ever be invented.
It was the Intruder:

I think I can safely say it single handedly got me hooked on fighter games. This thing just made it feel that much more real for F-18, Elite II, and SO many others...
There was another fight yoke also by QuickShoot that had an artificial horizon built into the yoke. It was just for show but for some reason I thought it was really cool also.
So what cool perifs. did you all really get into?
