Digital: A Love Story
« on: March 19, 2010, 06:56:43 PM »
haven't seen any other posts on this, but older Comp users will get a blast out of the interface.  And for those who only knew Amiga, it's also fun to learn how things were done back in the day!

FUN game!

Ok, you all are probably avoiding this post be cause the name looks like some kind of crappy porno ad, understood.

But seriously, the creator went through ALOT of pains to make this game seem like you are going through this mystery via an old computer system starting with nothing but a modem!

The interface is right on, and the pace is misleading as your feeling of security is slowly pulled away from you and your abilities move from greenie to ubber-hacker!

Lots of FUN!

Oh, and :BUMP:

Ok, so you connect to the BBS and get some messages, so what?

It's a REAL game!!!  the story line builds very, very well!

No near-naked women or laser beams.  I JUST finished the game and it get so engrosing that at the end you know what you need to do, but can't bring yourself to do it... :(

Again, don't let the simple beginings fool you. this game has depth and story that finishes with a twist ending that makes you go, "Whoa! that was cool!"

AND, several of the music tracks are done by some well-known MIDI composers ;)

I'm stuck in the game!

I got stuck a few times too!

What got me is the message system (no e-mails yet) every time you get a popup box saying you have a new message, check your mailbox, not the BBS boards.

Also, there is alot of info in the messages, download them all!  And make sure you reboot after getting the Amie Workbench update (save first).

Can anyone post some screenshots from this game? Is it text adeventure? There is so little information about it.

I'd clasify it as a text adventure inside a GUI enviroment....

the only typing you do is to log into different BBSs and ARCNETs.  When you reply to messages, you do not type anything but recive messages that are informative enough to know what you said ;)

sounds weird?

No sir, what's weird is that 9 out of 10 times your "reply" is exactly what was on your mind :D
