You could save yourself a lot of time and hassles by downloading classicwb.  Its probably been the  most stable Workbench environment I've ever used (unless you install CGX4-there is a conflict there that I haven't worked out yet

Buuut this was supposed to be about a 3.0 - 3.1 installation. Hey AmigaKit, how about you make a lite version for say, 68030s with no RTG, but a kickass 3.1 based system with the best patches etc.

You know, kick it down a notch, little bamm!

Nobody cares about 3.9 anymore in the 68K world. They all realized it was junk, without MUI, MagicWB, and a crappy TCP/IP stack. Cool people use 3.1 and build their own hot rod.

Props to the classicwb install stuff though, that is the right direction.

large hd drive support is nice, and the icon info tool with drag and drop is nice.  i also like the real time scrolling of icons in a window.  multiview works better too.  the dock is less hassle than a tool manager dock.  but I hate the double reset, especially on an A4000 with all its zorro slots filled.  I wish 3.9 came with a new kickstart.
