Sensible Soccer remake ??

I use to religiously play Sensible Soccer every afternoon after high school, with friends and have play offs.  

I read something online about a remake ?  

Was a remake ever made ?   if yes for what platform ?

Edit - I read about the failed Socialable Soccer kickstarter.   Jon Hare the same one thats on Amibay ?  maybe not the same, the Amibay one is from Germany.
