I wonder what kind of charity would take an Amiga computer? Even if he were to "donate" it somewhere, at least it stands a chance of finding a good new home. That's better than binning it at least.
His mindset though is strange. Going to dump it to some "charity", but has a reserve. The guy could at least give it to a 'poor' fan who doesn't already have a nice Amiga system, that could pay for shipping at least. 
If it doesn't make his reserve or BIN price, I bet he'll just offer to the next highest bidder, like he said he might do.
If his reserve is not met, he was going to stuff the system and monitor into one of those outdoor Salvation Army donation boxes along with a few pairs of used socks.
