I don't want to discourage anyone from attending the banquet, but I (and my crew) will only go to the banquet if the guest speaker is someone aside from Bill McEwen or "Fleecy" Moss.
So, one step in your search for the "truth" in this mess is to stop listen to one of the sides? Sounds more like a "blind follower"-thing to me....
