Local hit squad, lol, classic.

I will leave this thread. However you have been warned time and time again.
Its nice to actual happy customers reply and argue the case. Its a shame, only one or two happy customers will post stuff.

In regards to caps. I'm sorry, 1000% disagree. I want to see proof of this. I have been doing electronics for well over 30 years an not once seen caps leak again after being replaced. The compound screw ups from when they were first released, have long been sorted. What tests were done? did he investigate, exactly where caps came from?

Posting link to a video is not proof. You need the science to back it up, like the long lengthy investigation as to why the original caps from back in the day leaked in the first place. Just watched the video, 1 million % impossible. The words say it all, "They are all leaking", IMPOSSIBLE, would never ever happen. Looks more like flux to me. Which would track, if your changing them all. Personally, I do not use flux, no point if the pads are cleaned off.

The through-holes were a cheap Chinese brand

I think this is the crucial point, he obviously did not know about the reversed silk screen. So it would not have mattered even if they were cheap caps or gold plated ones (yes gold caps exist, had the opportunity to work on £20K Amplifier once), if they were in wrong way around, they will vent.

Don’t forget the Amiga community needs to bring in new and younger blood.

Yes, but as already pointed out, your always full on.

Loads of people slag my work off. Which makes me laugh. Are they there, have they seen me work, nope, they just go off the lies spouted around forums.

Amibay, love to fuel it all. Remember one person on there going nuts, because I apparently wired a cable wrong. So after constantly slagging me off. I thought enough is enough. He was going on what customer told them. I shut him down straight away. If he had done some research he would have found their were 4 different models of monitor, all using different connectors. The one that was bought and advertised for the exact model, was the reverse to the customer model. Clearly no research done at all and apparently that's my fault its wired wrong. Go figure.
