Doesn’t the A1000 require a Kickstart Boot floppy before it can work? I believe the standard machine had no Kickstart ROMs like the later Amigas such as A500 and so on. Without a Kickstart it won’t work.
Check what he said,
. "The floppy drive light does not come on even if a disk is inserted."
So he would never be able to load kickstart disk.
