The Amiga ADF download isn't on their official site yet, but they posted a link to it on Pouet.net from their Facebook page. You can download the ADF from here - http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=59951

You need a working floppy drive and a spare disk though.

Hi, I'm sorry I haven't had time to reply until now.

First of all I hope no one thinks I have anything to do with the making of this game, I'm only spreading the news about it! I suppose I should share some information about the game here too though.

Sqrxz started off as a DOS PC game back in 1996. In 2010 it was remade by a new team, who reprogrammed the game using C and SDL and pixelled all new graphics for it. This version was for modern PCs, and runs on Windows but has been ported to many systems, including Linux, BSD, Aros, MorphOS and AmigaOS4, Dreamcast, Wii, GP2X, Playstation Portable, Dingoo, Android, and others. It then spawned two sequels, which have also been ported around to most of these systems.

This year, the coder who ported Sqrxz to Aros, MorphOS and OS4, phx, re-coded the entire game in 68k Assembly for classic OCS Amigas with 1MB RAM, and considering the original remake experiences ocasional slowdown and bugs on all those modern systems and requires heaps more RAM and CPU power to play, I think it's pretty impressive how well it's been ported.

It's possible that phx may release a hard drive installable version, hopefully with support for a jump button and AGA, but for now we must deal with a Non-DOS floppy disk. So it can't even be mounted and have the program copied to the hard drive yet. However, StingRay has written a WHDLoad patch for it which should be on the WHDLoad site very soon. Once it's up, I will install it myself and can provide a pre-installed version for anyone who can't use floppy disks.

For some odd reasons, the game can not be ordered on floppy disk with that awesome printed label. These are an exclusive item which will only be available at special events such as demo parties and Amiga shows. The first batch were given out at the Demodays party a few weekends ago, and another batch is being sent off to be given out at the AmiWest show which is coming soon.

Here are some quotes from their Facebook page about the disks:

"Sqrxz (first part) for Amiga OCS to be released this weekend on floppy disk only at Demodays 2012 demoparty ( http://demodays.org/ ) in Olten/Switzerland. Pre-orders made via our coder Frank are prepared (40 disks) and will be sent away soon. Our project manager Shahzad will attend Demodays and brings 30 disks along; so if you are there, grab a copy while stock lasts." (koj)

"Bill Borsari of AmiWest fame will hopefully receive 10 floppy disks with Sqrxz as free giveaway. A very huge thanks goes out to Shahzad's working colleague Chelsea Gunn who will make sure all gets there in time, by personally bringing the copies from Austria to the US. Thanks a ton Chelsea!" Thank you for the awesome floppy label images, som99! I can't wait to get these printed out and put on my awesome translucent green disks.

StingRay has released his WHDLoad patch for Sqrxz! You can download the patch from the WHDLoad site (make sure you have WHDLoad installed too, of course): http://whdload.de/games/Sqrxz.html

Also, I installed it on my A1200 and compressed the drawer for anyone who can't use floppies: http://home.exetel.com.au/amiga/SqrxzHDD.lha (thanks to phx for giving me permission to give this out).
