I think it would be great if all you guys who have been brave and honest enough to show your photos could use them as your avatars too, it helps me remember people more when their face is attached to their name.

It's great to see everyone, too! :)

I still look the same as I do in my avatar, and I think everyone is sick of seeing photos of me by now. :p

HAHA! Cammy do you wear the Cammy outfit from street fighter in real life too? Or do you just wear normal clothes? :)

Depends how cold it is, but it's quite comfortable to wear around. Old ladies at the mall aren't too impressed, but I seem to get approval from cars full of guys driving past when I'm walking along the footpath in it.

Regularly I wear long socks, tights, a skirt, top and shoes, and cover up nearly everything but my face. I'm quite modest when I'm not wearing a costume. I do like to try and wear clothes that remind me of Amiga things, like my rainbow socks and t-shirt that remind me of the rainbow checkmark logo, and my red & white checkered socks and top hat that remind me of the boing ball. I keep hoping some (former) Amiga user might recognise the colours and say something so I can get them back onboard once I show them my awesome Amiga setup.

ROTFL +1

I think that goes for the airbrushing too ;)

I'm not sure if you're referring to the paint on my legs or the softened image I use for my avatar. I used a soften filter on it to bring down the detail so I could save the avatar within Amiga.org's filesize limits, but keeping the quality high enough not to go blotty. As for the stripes on my legs, I ended up painting them onto some stockings so I can easily throw those on under the leotard without having to get my hands green every time I dress up.

Here's the original image from my avatar, unaltered apart from being scaled down from its original size, it was taken last year I think but I still look the same:

I really am sorry for anyone who is sick of seeing me by now.

Hi everyone. I haven't been ignoring any of you guys, I have just been very busy. Thank you all for posting your pics and for changing your avatars to show you in them, and I too hope that it will lead to people acting a little more civil towards each other.

I also think it's really cool to see that there are others here who like to wear costumes (for hobbies or events). It's cool when we get to meet the celebrities who entertain us so much at these comic conventions.

a friend of mine told me that Cammy is not real.
An Aussie fat/nerd/shy Amiga user paid $$$ to a hot chick to dress like Cammy and pretend to be an Amiga user...

If someone was going to pay a girl cash to dress up and model with Amigas, I think they'd find someone a lot better looking and less weird than me (and preferably not deaf so she could speak in videos). I don't know why someone would make something like that up anyway, but if you want more proof I have a Flickr gallery with photos of myself, my Amigas and other stuff I like and do, and a YouTube channel with a few videos where I demonstrate some stuff on my Amiga and show the birds who visit me.

Or you can just come on IRC and chat to me and my friends who have known me for years, I hang out in all the main Amiga channels.

I was born completely deaf, without my hearing aids I can't hear anything at all.
