Have you tried AmiNetRadio? I prefer to use it instead of AmigaAmp, it seems to be less of a CPU hog and doesn't skip when playing MP3s on my system like AmigaAmp does at the same quality settings. It also has lots more features, like playing internet radio stations, downloading and managing podcasts and more.

Have you configured AHI to use Paula for the audio output? There are a few different settings to try, so try each one until you find the best one for your system.

Anyway, here's AmiNetRadio - http://www.amigazeux.net/anr/
And if you skip forward towards the end of this video you can see me using it, but stupid YouTube cut the audio out of my video so you can't hear the radio stations playing, but they are - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j72NjheWP-A  (Sorry you'll have to watch this on a faster system)
