1084S Monitor, 1 sound channel not working, hard to fix?
« on: August 03, 2008, 11:15:13 PM »
Hi, I have this 1084s monitor working with my A500. I've got them since 1990.
One of the sound channels looks like it doesn't work anymore, i'm not an electronic guy, but have fixed stuff.

If I disassemble the monitor, will it be a easy repair? or will I found stuff imposible to fix?

I know it is the monitor and not the A500 'cause I've changed the cables.

Thanks! :-?

Ok, thanks for the warning, I know that danger, I've hacked an arcade monitor before. I'll disassemble and look for the problem.

thanks again

thanks for your help.
I've disassemble the monitor and cannot found that chip you said, I found TDA chips but with other numbers. Monitor model is 1084s-D1.

I plugged some earphones into the side minijack input on the monitor and I can hear both channels, does this mean that it is a broken speaker? if it is, how can i replace it?, i mean the ohms and that stuff.

thanks again!
