A1200 PSU Question
« on: May 09, 2003, 11:07:40 AM »
Guys,

i'm just rewiring the power on my a1200, and i want to double check I've got the pinouts correct.

Looking AT the socket on the BACK of the A1200 board we have:

   +--v--+
   |1...4|
   |..3..|
   |2...5|
   +-----+

   1: +12v
   2: Ground/Sheild
   3: -12v
   4: Ground
   5: +5v

Is this correct? My multimeter has gone walkies, so I can't buzz out the pins :-(

Secondly, I need to connect a std PC HDD power cable to this socket as well, the power cable is coloured:

Yellow (+12v)
Black (gnd)
Black (gnd)
 Red (+5v)

So I'm presuming  Yellow to Pin 1, Red to Pin 5, and any of the blacks to the grounds ?

Have I got all this correct ? I'm working blind but don't want to hold up my project while I try and locate my multimeter :-(
