If the 4000T has an IDE interface, it should. There are also ones for 2.5" IDE (A1200/600). I've seen a few with both 3.5" and 2.5" IDE connectors for under $20US.
Ive read some stuff saying that CF cards have a write cycle lifespan of 100000 (hundred thousand) rather than 1000000 (million)... if its really a million or two, that sounds worthwhile. I havent done it since I'd read 100000, which is fine for something like a camera but would suck on a computer.
