Last time I checked it wasn't who were punishing users by refusing to let users register.

Perhaps someone should disassemble and crack Poseidon.

that is wrong in so many ways...

It wasn't wrong when it was Elbox's drivers that were disassembled.

Aren't all Elbox drivers free with their products? What would be the point of disassembling their drivers?

I think you should be familiar enough with past events for me not to explain.

People were complaining that the Spider was just a standard USB card with its I.D. changed so that only it would work with their drivers.

Someone disassembled the drivers and found that that there was code that was designed to trash the RDB if the driver was modified to run on the USB card that spider was based on.

A huge row started on the forums over this, eventually leading to Elbox remove the malicious code from their drivers.

I think Elbox probably locked the drivers to the USB card because they and many dealers didn't make a penny on the graphics, sound and network cards that people bought for their Mediators.

I think Chris Hodges' decision to pull support for Spider owners was something that came out of the "RDB trashing code row", so when I posted about cracking Poseiden, it was supposed to be ironic.

I try to support Amiga developers where I can.  Buying/registering products and making donations here and there.

If Chris would let Spider owners register Poseiden I'd probably get a Spider and then he could have some of my money too.
