The Warp Engine was the best '040 accelerator made. Phase5 didn't catch up with (and surpass) the design until the MK3 Cyberstorm was released 4 years later. Compared to the MK2 Cyberstorm, you have onboard SCSI-2 and much faster memory performance. The only advantage of the MK2 '040 is that it was upgradable to '060.
The GVP cards were great too, though the '040 version took the proprietary SIMMs and SCSI was an option. The
T-Rex II was only available in '060 form AFAIK (and was a great card - wish I could find one to replace my MK2 Cyberstorm!).
