Since the CPU faces up on your card, heat is less likely an issue but you can easily test by setting a small deskfan (or similar) blowing through the vents. Make sure the A1200 contacts are _really_ clean with an eraser and IPA. Another idea is to fully insert the accelerator, then back it off the edge connector just a smidge.
