On one hand, insurance may have been a good idea, but that doesn't excuse the seller for packing things like retard. Insurance or not, it sucks to pay $400 for old computer equipment, and have it arrived trashed.
The plus side is the PIV works, so it's not a total loss. Maybe the seller would consider refunding your shipping and calling it good.
