The amiga people generally appear to be the most
helpful, and overall they seem to be a bit more
savvy than most Mac and PC zealots. Macs are
a piece of cake after setting up a 'modern' amiga
from scratch, but don't ask Mac users when problems
arise. They say everything is 'extensions'. Anything
more complex and they'll probably just tell you to
wipe the system and start over 'ala Windows.
People are idiots...our no. 1 rated local computer
store recently told me that 2.5" to 3.5" hard disk
adapters (to hook a notebook drive to a normal 3.5"
IDE connector) don't exist...what I needed was a
"data - transfer cable with USB"...ten minutes
later I ordered the adapter online from CompUSA.
I was shocked that the owners of a computer store
could be so seemingly clueless.
