Well for the short period of time that I used MOS 2 on my PEG II before I sold it. I'd say it was well worth it, but then again no "Amiga" type system can fully replace your current system. Too much is missing, Java and Flash support for browser to be exact and ofcourse Open Office would be a nice addition, but no Java = no OF etc.
I'm looking to build Efika as a modern retro Amiga experience once the promised update arrives. So that classic games would launch in emulator and everything else would be native. Atleast it will be that for me as long as Mac Mini port gets released. But if you actually get the hardware to run MOS and you don't like it, I don't think you have a hard time selling the hardware further. I have actually always made a little cash back on my "Amiga" investments
