Old Amiga equipment to good home
« on: October 19, 2018, 12:59:13 PM »
Hi folks,

I'm having a bit of a clear out so thought I'd post on here, just on the remote off-chance that there is anyone living nearby who wants any of this stuff.

First off and probably most important, I'm in Glasgow, Scotland and won't be shipping any of this stuff so if you want it, you'll have to come and get it.

Anyway, all of this is free to anyone who wants it:

A1200 in an Eyetech EZTower, with 030 card and 32MB (I think) RAM expansion and A4000 keyboard.
A1200 desktop which is in bits and I'm not even sure still works.
Commodore 1084s monitor.
Pile of Amiga mags (mostly Amiga format).
Collection of boxed games.
Some other bits and bobs (joysticks, gamepad, 2.5" hard-drive, external floppy drive, etc).
Large collection of floppies.

I've been telling myself I'll get around to using this stuff again for the last decade or so but never seem to find the time.
I've a weird emotional attachment to this stuff, which I why I've been in denial for so long, but I think it's time to finally concede defeat and offer it to anyone who wants it.
I'll keep my AmigaOneXE & Pegasos 1 for now but the rest can go.  :-\

Cheers,
Robert

Ok, boarding flight from Michigan now. Give me a few.

;D Yeah, I knew it was a long shot but just thought it'd be worth seeing if they're are any Amiga enthusiasts left in Scotland before the whole lot goes in the bin.

Ooh, me! Actually, there are a lot of Amiga enthusiasts in Scotland, and in the past year we've even had a couple of meetups in Glasgow. I'll definitely take it all off your hands, and can share the love around the user group too. But, knowing now that there are a few of us still around (there were around 25 people at the meetup in August), are you sure you don't want to hang onto the stuff? ;)

I kind of do but I doubt I'll ever get around to using it much. I am keeping the A1 & Peg1 so not completely abandoning the Amiga scene.

I'm on the south side, near Pollokshields...

Perfect. I'm also south side, in the Gorbals.
Drop me a PM and we can organise things.  :)

Cheers! As an aside, I've just confirmed that the Scottish users will be having a meetup on Sunday the 9th of December in Glasgow, if anyone nearby is interested in coming along!

Now that I know it's a thing, I'll try to come along if I'm free.  ;D
