OctaMED to MIDI

Hi folks,

Anyone know off the top of their head if MED can export direct to MIDI files?
(I should know this but I haven't used MED for ages and I have the memory of the proverbial goldfish)

Yes it can but it is quite a primitive implementation if I recall rightly

I moved over to Logic and would like to import my old OctaMED, HD-Rec and Bars & Pipes files and play around with them.

Nice. How do you rate Apple OS? I've never used one but I may be getting one to help support my father who is looking at one. He's not very good with computers. Would you say an Apple is more forgiving of an IT novice than a PC?

In a word, yes. I got an iBook 3 years ago to supplement my various Amigas and PC. Very quickly it became my main machine.
I now have a Macbook and rarely switch on my other computers. (Although I'm typing this on the iBook)
