Sorry - mad weekend and I've just seen this.

Will you be hoping England lose all their games?

Not really. Aside from the fact that they've already won the first one, I'm not too fussed.
On the other hand, if England losing means I get another chance to laugh at the brain-dead numbnutz that is Ian Wright, whining like a spoiled child, then I'm all for it.
Or there's always Clive Tilsley. He never tires of xenophobically slagging whoever England are playing.
In fact, if all England's games were broadcast without any partisan commentators, I might even want them to win. ;-)

I also feel sorry for whoever takes the blame this time round.
Just had a thought, why don't we run a sweep:
Who will carry the can when England get knocked out?
There are a couple of obvious candidates in Rooney & Eriksson but it could be anyone.

I've got stick on a number of occasions for wearing a French football top...I don't get it.

I'm guessing this was from English people?
(Most Scots are quite fond of the French - "Auld Alliance" and all that...)

Portugal just scored a lovely goal against Mexico.

But its Ok Robert, admitting you have a problem is the first step in fixing it.

Hahaha....

Doesn't apply to me anyway.
People are people as far as I'm concerned, be they French, Scottish, English or even American. ;-)

Couldn't help feeling sorry for Ghana, losing 3-0 to Brazil a minute ago.
They were excellent to watch.

3 Rooney - Red carded (Don't you think the Portugeuse management sussed that out ?)

Almost certainly. I made three predictions about England's hopes before the tournament started.

1. They will play very unattractive football.
2. They will be knocked out at quarter final stage
3. With all the fuss over Rooney's broken foot, everybody completely ignored the fact that he is a hothead and would probably get sent off at some point.

Of the three, the only thing I didn't get right was that I thought Rooney would walk in an earlier game. Otherwise, as predictable as ever. Roll on Euro 2008 for yet another repeat.

What a fantastic game.

Felt sorry for Germany but Italy's two goals were crackers and they probably edged it anyway.

Still fancy France to lift the trophy but it'll be close.
