I looked at the A1 with AOS4 before I bought the A1200, very interesting indeed, but I'm not ready for that, just want to mess with the old thing!
Quite right. Lots of money for something just to dabble in.
OTOH, I wouldn't shell out too much on expansion products. I have an A1200/030, in a DIY tower and still use it but I'm typing this on an A1.
The A1/OS4 is great but not there yet.
If it was, I wouldn't still be using my A1200.
But the 'amiga-feeling', for want of a better description, is most definitely there.
The same can be said for the Pegasos and MOS - lovely machine and OS but not there yet.
(And I'm in the huff with my Peg at the minute :-( )
