Well, I didn't expect to see this when I booted up! I've scanned the other thread and could see no response from Hans-Joerg or Thomas. Have they refuted this at all?

Thanks for the clarification. I know you said not to believe anything but official statements but with Ben having previously been a Hyperion employee, surely you can understand why some people believed him?
Personally, I did not. If I had, I would've cancelled my A1 order and bought a Mac or Pegasos.
