Always people say they hate PCs yet we all use them and to some extent we would be lost without them. It's just not possible to have just an Amiga these days? I would be a lot more grumpy without my divx speciality movies on my laptop certainly   Still no PC or Mac manages to capture that Amiga quality.

Thants because we have NO Choice!  there is No Amiga which is up to date with all the software and hardware we need..... Most of us Hardcore Amigans only use them because we have no choice and neither does the world............Yes there is Linux and MacOS..........but PC's are marketed with WindowsXP wayyyyy more.

I have been switching to Ubuntu Linux because Im sick sick sick of Windows.......

Yes I agree with you. We have no choice. You have to live in the world with other people and other people use Windows. I have Ubuntu as well and its clever and I like the philosophy but its not mainstream. The sad fact is most people want a computer to be like a microwave or other consumer good, they just want it to work with minimum effort. And I agree to some extent..life is very short. I think the Amiga will always remain an early 90s phenomenon. The nextgen machines or Amiga OS taking on Windows...who they tryin kid. It will never take off. Sorry if that sounds cynical
