OS 3.1 or 3.9
« on: December 20, 2013, 08:44:30 PM »
I currently have OS 2.1 installed om my A2000. Once I take care of some hardware issues I would like to upgrade the rom to 3.1. I did a search for WB 3.1 disks and OS 3.9 CD (I thought is was only available on cd) I could find any available at his time at Amigakit or Ebay. I never was able to get my CD-Writer to work with the IDE channel so maybe I should stick to 3.1 disks until later. I know there is Amiga OS on CF to IDE but that probably would not work at the moment. Any suggestions? Anyone selling OS 3.1? maybe OS 3.5 would be a good option.

Hi Mike, yep still rocking the Derringer, at this point I don't even have monitor to view WB. I thinking ahead. I noticed when I tried the B/W RCA out to an old tv ( I tried two) the Workbench screen scrolls from bottom to top, or maybe the other way. I never had that problem in the past. Hhmm!

My current specs for the A2000 are Derringer 030/68882 50mhz, Data Flyer SCSI/IDE combo controller 16mb 32bit ram on 030, 2mb 16bit on Supra Ram board, 1mb chip ram, 400meg SCSI harddrive, Viseo Toaster 4000 (never used) an old Create labs CD Writer (dissconnected) OS 2.1/2.05 rom.

Would you have any pics with the Indivision ECS installed  but without the bracket PSU tray installed? I wanted to see which way it is orientated. The Derringer does not fully cover the Denise chip.
