@Drummerboy

I would be interested in how this works out. I also have a A2000 with OS 2.1 installed. It has a Expansion Systems DataFlyer SCSI/IDE controller. I going to try to mount IDE cd-rom. I had trouble once getting a IDE hardrive to work  but that was years ago and I may have missed a step. The second option if that doesn't work, I'll try getting a SCSI cd-rom. I never had any problems with adding SCSI devices.
I was considering waiting until I get KS/OS 3.1 installed.

@anyone
How much cd-rom support does OS 3.1 have? Do I still need AmiCDFS or IDEfix97 to mount a cd-rom in 3.1? It sounds like once you get to OS 3.0 or higher you don'tset up mount list.

@Tumbleweed

Thank you for the helpful information. It will be more of a challange with 2.1 but fun, it will tie me over unti I get 3.1. I would upgrade to 3.9 but I don't have graphics card and I been told OS 3.9 is really slow unless you have an RTG card.
