Working Amiga (1000) Needs a Home
« on: April 09, 2007, 08:56:28 PM »
Hello, all, I hope you can please be patient with me as I have been reading through your posts and don't quite understand all the terminology you use.

I have an Amiga computer which I think is a 1000 (the S/N ends in 1000), 1084 monitor, keyboard, mouse (no joystick) and all connecting cables.  I bought this computer in 1988 as best as I can recall.  I think it may have been used when I bought it but I can't remember anymore.  I know I bought it from a computer store and not from an individual.  I have been storing this computer for years and just can't bear to have this huge box in my closet anymore.  But I've never been able to throw it away because it works.  I know there are people out there who would appreciate it. I would be willing to give it away to someone who would make use of it.

I have it up and running "Footman" right now, so I know it works.  But I don't know how to find someone who would want it.

I live in Pennsylvania.  I don't know about shipping the monitor but maybe I would try it if someone can advise about a way to get it there in one piece.  I have no idea how much this costs.  Maybe we could split the shipping fee?????

If you want more information just ask and I will do my best to find answer your questions.

It would make me very happy to find someone who wants this.

The Amiga 1000 is on its way to a new home where it sounds like it will be very welcomed.

Thanks for having a place where I could find it a good owner.
